Twin Oaks is a town located in Delaware County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 186.

Geography Twin Oaks is located at 36°11'52" North, 94°49'43" West (36.197822, -94.828672)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 6.2 km² (2.4 mi²). 6.2 km² (2.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 186 people, 63 households, and 49 families residing in the town. The population density is 30.0/km² (77.8/mi²). There are 65 housing units at an average density of 10.5/km² (27.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 35.48% White, 0.00% African American, 59.68% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.54% from other races, and 4.30% from two or more races. 1.61% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 63 households out of which 41.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.9% are married couples living together, 11.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% are non-families. 22.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.95 and the average family size is 3.45.

In the town the population is spread out with 29.6% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 33.3% from 25 to 44, 18.3% from 45 to 64, and 8.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 30 years. For every 100 females there are 102.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.5 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $26,818, and the median income for a family is $28,750. Males have a median income of $25,167 versus $16,607 for females. The per capita income for the town is $8,334. 39.1% of the population and 29.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 55.0% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
