Triple sec

Triple Sec is an orange flavoured liqueur. Sec usually means dry but in this instance it means distilled[?] since triple secs go through a three stage process. It is made on the carribean island of curacao from bitter oranges, that are picked and use before they reach full ripeness. Popular brand names of triple sec are, triple sec, curacao, Cointreau[?] and Grand Marnier[?] {with quality and price in that order}.

Triple sec is frequently used in cocktails, to add flavour, rather than alcohol and so a non-alcoholic version can be substituted to save money or too keep alcohol content down.
