Track time trial

Redirected from Track cycling/Track Time Trial

In the track time trial, a track cycling event, the riders compete individually to record the fastest time over the specified distance (usually 1000 metres) from a standing start. The riders who have performed best on previous occasions are seeded so that they ride last (and thus have the potential advantage of knowing what their opponents have done).
