TRS

Tip Ring Sleeve (TRS) connectors are 1/4" audio connectors that are often referred to as Stereo 1/4" connectors. TRS is a more accurate term, because they are not always used in stereo applications. For instance when used in a balanced connection, these connectors only transmit a monaural[?] signal.
