Topeka is a village located in Mason County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 90.

Geography Topeka is located at 40°19'48" North, 89°55'52" West (40.329960, -89.931034)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.4 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 90 people, 36 households, and 28 families residing in the village. The population density is 248.2/km² (648.0/mi²). There are 36 housing units at an average density of 99.3/km² (259.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 95.56% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 4.44% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 36 households out of which 30.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% are married couples living together, 13.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% are non-families. 16.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
