Tonio Selwart

Tonio Selwart (June 9, 1896-November 2, 2002) was a Bavarian actor and stage preformer. Born in Wartenberg, Bavaria, as Anton Selmair, Selwart immigrated to the United States in 1930. He made a total of 21 film appearences, including: The Barefoot Contessa (1954), Anzio (1968) and his last film appearence, The Other Side of the Wind (1968). Selwart also made an number of appearences on Broadway, where some say he did his best work.

He died at the venerable age of 106 in NYC in late 2002.
