The Tonight Show is the name of NBC's long running nightly hour long comedy variety show.

Originally 90 minutes long, the show features at least two or three guests each night, usually including a comedian or musical guest.

The show was hosted by Steve Allen from 1954 to 1957, Ernie Kovacs from 1956 to 1957, Jack Paar[?] from 1957 to 1962, and Johnny Carson from 1962 to 1992. The show is currently hosted by Jay Leno, who started in 1992.

Ms. Miller was a regular in the studio audience, who became such an integral part, she was forced to join the TV actors union.
