Tilburg

City in the Netherlands, located in the southern province of Noord-Brabant. As of January 1, 1999 the city council (gemeente) administered an area of 11889 hectares (11742 land) with a population of 190,560.

The municipality also comprises the following towns, villages and townships: Berkel-Enschot, Udenhout.

The Universiteit van Tilburg (formerly Katholieke Universiteit Brabant) is located in Tilburg.
