Thrift store

A thrift store is a retail establishment operated by a charitable organization for the purpose of converting donated items into cash money. Thrift stores are often popular with the poor, and subcultures outside of the mainstream. Thrift store clothing was often modified by early punk rockers in California. Thrift stores might be called charity shops outside of the United States.
