Thomas Joannes Stieltjes

Thomas Joannes Stieltjes (December 29, 1856-December 31, 1894) was a Dutch mathematician. He was born in Zwolle and died in Toulouse, France.

The Thomas Stieltjes Institute for Mathematics at the University of Leiden is named after him.
