The Tale of the Body Thief

Tale of the Body Thief is set entirely in the late 20th century. This is a departure for Anne Rice, who loves to take readers into the past, then bring them up to the present.

Sypnosis In the story, Lestat is presented with an offer he cannot refuse. Trade bodies with a young mortal for one day. Against sound advice from vampires, and his best friend, David, Lestat jumps at the oppurtunity.

When the Body Thief skips town, Lestat and David must work together to steal the nearly omnipotent body back. The adventure takes them from New Orleans, to the Caribbean aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2.
