The Skatebirds

The Skatebirds was a one hour daily show on CBS, from 1977 to 1978. It was produced by Hanna Barbara[?], the Kroftt Brothers[?] like show, with human sized birds.

The stars of the show, the Skatebirds, rode about on skate boards[?]. Named Sach (a penguin), Knock-Knock (a woodpecker) and Scooter (a penguin), these characters were always chased around by the Scat-Cat.

These four characters were actors in character costumes, reminiscent to those of the Kroftt Brothers, that debuted just years before in 1969.

The characters were merely filler for the cartoons that they introduced, including The Robonic Stooges[?], Wonder Wheels[?], and Woofer & Wimper[?]. The show also included one live-action sci-fi segment, Mystery Island[?].
