The Righteous Brothers

The Righteous Brothers are the musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. They recorded numerous albums from 1963 through 1975. Their song Unchained Melody, first released as a single in 1965, was re-recorded and featured prominently in the 1990 movie Ghost. The new version of the song was subsequently released that year and once again became a hit single.

Their first major hit single was You've Lost That Loving Feeling in 1965. That song was produced by Phil Spector, and manifested Spector's "Wall of Sound" production techniques. They had several other hit singles during the 1960s, including You're My Soul and Inspiration. In 1974, they scored another hit with Rock and Roll Heaven, a paeon to deceased rock singers.
