The Register

The Register is a British technology news website concentrating on the computer industry, founded by John Lettice and Mike Magee in 1994.

Mike Magee has since left to start The Inquirer.

Comment pieces are carried along with the news, they get a good number of accusations of bias. These are printed in the "Flame of the Week" articles. As well as carrying their own content, articles from other sites are included and repackaged.

They also have a habit of unusual naming: so Intel becomes Chipzilla, Itanium, Itanic, and Rambus[?] is Rambust.
