The Naked Spur

The Naked Spur is a 1953 western movie about a man who is searching for a murderer to collect the bounty on his head. On the trail, he picks up two other travelers. The murderer tries to turn the three against each other once they catch him. It stars James Stewart, Janet Leigh, Robert Ryan[?], Ralph Meeker[?] and Millard Mitchell[?].

The movie was written by Sam Rolfe[?] and Harold Jack Bloomand[?] directed by Anthony Mann[?].

It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay. The film has been deemed "culturally significant" by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.
