Rómendacil I

Redirected from Tarostar

In J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth Rómendacil I was the eighth King of Gondor

Rómendacil wasn't his original name, Tarostar was his birth-name. He was the son of King Ostoher and as crown-prince he rode against the Easterlings and defeated them.

After the victory he renamed himself to Rómendacil, meaning "East-victor" and he succeeded his father in 492 T.A.

But the peace was not to last forever because forty years later in 541 T.A. the Easterlings invaded once again and he rode to meet them in battle but was slain.

He was succeeded by his son Turambar
