Tarondor (Gondor)

In J. R. R. Tolkien's universe of Middle-earth, Tarondor was the twenty-seventh King of Gondor.

He succeeded his uncle Telemnar who died in the Great Plague of T.A. 1636.

He came to the throne when he was still young and was the longest-reigning King of Gondor.

War and plague had tortured his country and he strove to rebuild it and its power.

The most significant event in his reign was the removal of the capital from Osgiliath to Minas Anor

He was succeeded by his son Telumehtar in T.A. 1798.
