Taos Ski Valley is a village located in Taos County, New Mexico. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 56.

Geography Taos Ski Valley is located at 36°35'52" North, 105°26'42" West (36.597724, -105.445051)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.1 km² (2.4 mi²). 6.1 km² (2.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 56 people, 32 households, and 12 families residing in the village. The population density is 9.2/km² (23.8/mi²). There are 263 housing units at an average density of 43.0/km² (111.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 87.50% White, 0.00% African American, 7.14% Native American, 1.79% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 3.57% from two or more races. 16.07% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 32 households out of which 12.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 37.5% are married couples living together, 0.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 59.4% are non-families. 46.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.75 and the average family size is 2.46.

In the village the population is spread out with 8.9% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 33.9% from 25 to 44, 50.0% from 45 to 64, and 1.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 47 years. For every 100 females there are 166.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 155.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village is $67,708, and the median income for a family is $103,422. Males have a median income of $65,833 versus $24,375 for females. The per capita income for the village is $43,143. 0.0% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line.
