Tanberg Township is a township located in Wilkin County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 68.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 86.2 km² (33.3 mi²). 86.2 km² (33.3 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 68 people, 24 households, and 21 families residing in the township. The population density is 0.8/km² (2.0/mi²). There are 33 housing units at an average density of 0.4/km² (1.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 97.06% White, 0.00% African American, 1.47% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.47% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 24 households out of which 41.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% are married couples living together, 8.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 12.5% are non-families. 12.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.83 and the average family size is 2.95.

In the township the population is spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 0.0% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 26.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.2% who are 65 years of age or older.
