Thanks for the note. I changed it stylistic reasons. I'm sure it was at least suggested in a wikipedia style guide somewhere. I can't be bothered to find said guide right now. I think that the "no i.e." and "no e.g." style should be adopted in any case. Most professional publications follow the same guidelines. --drj
