System agnostic

System agnostic is a term used in role-playing games, or RPGs, to describe scenarios which can be used within a variety of gaming systems.

This is the definition of the term "generic" in RP terms.

System agnostic can also refer to the notion that a particular computing technology (or person, in the case of system administrators and programmers) does not depend entirely on the idealogy of another, as in "OS agnostic" or "editor agnostic."
