Symphonie Fantastique

The Symphony Fantastique is an orchestral piece of music by Hector Berlioz. It is widely regarded as one of the most important and representative pieces of the early romantic period.

The symphony is a piece of programme music[?] which tells the story of "an artist gifted with a lively imagination" who is in love with a woman, but suffers because this love is unrequited. The piece is in five movements, each one telling a particular part of the story.
