Taxodium are a small genus of
deciduous conifers from the southern part of the
North American continent. The most famous species comes from the south east, living in the
Florida Everglades and is known as the
Bald Cypress or
Swamp Cypress. They are quite closely related to the
Redwoods on the west coast.
