Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 198.0 km² (76.4 mi²). 128.0 km² (49.4 mi²) of it is land and 69.9 km² (27.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 35.32% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 683 people, 294 households, and 211 families residing in the township. The population density is 5.3/km² (13.8/mi²). There are 652 housing units at an average density of 5.1/km² (13.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 63.54% White, 0.00% African American, 30.01% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.29% from other races, and 6.15% from two or more races. 0.44% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 294 households out of which 24.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.6% are married couples living together, 6.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.9% are non-families. 23.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
