Suffix morpheme

An affix[?] that comes either after the base morpheme[?] or another suffix.

Bound inflectional affixes in present day English:

-s third person singular present
-ed past tense
-ing progressive/continuous
-en past participle
-s plural
-'s possessive
-er comparative
-est superlative
