Subaru (In katakana: スバル) is the 8 meter flagship telescope of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan[?] [1] (http://www.naoj.org/). It is named for the constellation known in English as the Pleiades. It is located on top the Mauna Kea[?] in Hawaii
