The movie was adapted by H.H. Caldwell[?] (titles), Katherine Hilliker[?] (titles), Philip Klein[?], Marion Orth[?] and Henry Roberts Symonds[?] from the novel Cristilinda by Monckton Hoffe[?]. It was directed by Frank Borzage[?].
It won the Academy Award for Best Actress (Janet Gaynor) and was nominated for Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography. Oddly enough, the acting award was given in 1929 and the other two in 1930.
This was one of three movies that Gaynor received her Academy Award for in 1929. The other two were Sunrise and Seventh Heaven.
