Straits of Malacca

The Straits of Malacca is a narrow stretch of water between Peninsula Malaysia (West Malaysia) and the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It is a of considerable strategic importance, as it forms the main sea route between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
