Straight-8

A Straight-8 engine is a Straight engine with eight cylinders.

Straight-8 engines have perfect primary and secondary balance, this allows them to run very smooth. This also lead to a very long engine.

Thus the straight-8 are not common in automobile. A well-known example of this configuration is the Bugatti straight-8 engine.
