Steve Yzerman

Steve Yzerman (born May 9, 1965) is a professional ice hockey player. He is the winner of 3 Stanley Cups, one Conn Smyth Trophy[?] (1997), and captain of his team longer than any other player.

Yzerman was born in Cranbrook[?], British Columbia, Canada.

He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 1983 and has remained there ever since. With over 600 goals, and having led his team to the Stanley Cup for the first time in 42 years, he will certainly be a hall-of-famer. His raising of the Stanley Cup in June, 1997 is thought by some to be one of the team's greatest moments ever.
