Stauracius

Stauracius was a Byzantine Emperor and son of Nicephorus I. Paralyzed by a sword wound to his neck while fighting against the Bulgars[?] at the Vurbitsa[?] pass, he reigned for one month, before retiring to a monastery and dying five months later.
