Star Trek: The Voyage Home

Star Trek: The Voyage Home was the fourth Star Trek movie. It involved time travel to the then current 1980s San Francisco, California in order to find some whales and return them to the 23rd Century to avoid destruction by an alien civilization that apparently had befriended the whales before homo sapiens were around. Much of the movie is set at the fictional Cetacean Institute, which was in reality the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Many fans appreciated the sense of humor in this film, like many of the lighter episodes of the series, and in contrast with the darker more serious films that were the first three movies.
