Stand by Me

Stand By Me is a 1986 film directed by Rob Reiner; the title comes from a song with the same title by Ben E. King[?] and is based on the novella The Body by Stephen King. In the film, Gordie Lachance and his three friends Chris Chambers[?], Teddy Duchamp[?], and Vern Tessio[?] set out to find the body of a missing boy who was hit by a train.

The film stars Wil Wheaton as Gordie LaChance, River Phoenix as Chris Chambers, Corey Feldman as Teddy DuChamp, Jerry O'Connell[?] as Vern Tessio, and Kiefer Sutherland[?] as Ace Merrill[?]. It was nominated in 1987 for Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium (Academy Awards), Best Director (Golden Globe), and Best Motion Picture - Drama (Golden Globes).
