Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,138 people, 452 households, and 311 families residing in the borough. The population density is 845.0/km² (2,208.1/mi²). There are 484 housing units at an average density of 359.4/km² (939.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 99.74% White, 0.09% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.18% from two or more races. 0.62% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
