Somerset is a town located in Windham County, Vermont. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 5. According to the United States Census Bureau, it is one of only 8 places in the United States with a population of five people. The others are Storrie, California, Bear Head Lake, Minnesota, Baker, Missouri, Gross, Nebraska, Odell Township, New Hampshire, Maza, North Dakota, and Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 72.9 km² (28.1 mi²). 67.7 km² (26.1 mi²) of it is land and 5.2 km² (2.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 7.07% water.
