Snake Creek is a town located in Mayes County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 298.

Geography Snake Creek is located at 36°11'8" North, 95°5'13" West (36.185531, -95.087011)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 21.6 km² (8.3 mi²). 21.6 km² (8.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 298 people, 103 households, and 80 families residing in the town. The population density is 13.8/km² (35.8/mi²). There are 109 housing units at an average density of 5.1/km² (13.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 73.15% White, 0.00% African American, 25.50% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.34% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 103 households out of which 32.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.8% are married couples living together, 3.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 21.4% are non-families. 19.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.89 and the average family size is 3.31.

In the town the population is spread out with 27.5% under the age of 18, 10.4% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 29.2% from 45 to 64, and 7.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 109.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 109.7 males.
