SNK

SNK is a Japanese video game company.

It was started in late 1970s and lasted until its collapse in 2000 due to under-finance. Since then their games have been under the control of another Japanese company, Playmore.

SNK stands for "Shin Nihon Kihaku," translated to "New Japan Project."

SNK has been behind the following games, among others:

  • King of Fighters series
  • Fatal Fury series
  • Samurai Shodown series
  • Last Blade series
  • Metal Slug series
  • Art of Fighting series
