Smoked salmon

Smoked salmon is salmon, typically a filet[?] that has been cured and then hot or cold smoked.

Cold smoked salmon is known as "lox," and is not cooked. It has a smooth texture and is often served with cream cheese[?] and/or on bagels.

Hot smoked salmon has been cooked by the smoking process and is eaten just like cooked salmon.
