Slater is a town located in Platte County, Wyoming. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 82.

Geography Slater is located at 41°52'22" North, 104°46'45" West (41.872820, -104.779088)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 191.6 km² (74.0 mi²). 191.6 km² (74.0 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 82 people, 31 households, and 23 families residing in the town. The population density is 0.4/km² (1.1/mi²). There are 42 housing units at an average density of 0.2/km² (0.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
