Skara

Skara is a municipality in southwest Sweden, in the county of Västra Götaland. The municipality covers an area of 439.3 km². Of the total population of 18 305, 8 971 are male, and 9 334 are female. The population density of the community is 42 inhabitants per km².

Skara is one of the oldest cities in Sweden and the old capital of Västergötland. It is also a bishops see.
