Silverdale is a borough located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 1,001.

Geography Silverdale is located at 40°20'47" North, 75°16'15" West (40.346459, -75.270955)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.2 km² (0.4 mi²). 1.2 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,001 people, 323 households, and 264 families residing in the borough. The population density is 858.9/km² (2,220.0/mi²). There are 329 housing units at an average density of 282.3/km² (729.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 99.00% White, 0.20% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 0.30% from two or more races. 0.80% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 323 households out of which 48.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.4% are married couples living together, 5.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.0% are non-families. 13.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.08 and the average family size is 3.45.

In the borough the population is spread out with 32.5% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 35.3% from 25 to 44, 19.6% from 45 to 64, and 6.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 111.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 103.0 males.

The median income for a household in the borough is $62,250, and the median income for a family is $68,594. Males have a median income of $42,431 versus $29,500 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $23,814. 2.1% of the population and 2.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 1.3% are under the age of 18 and 14.8% are 65 or older.
