Sigmund

In Norse mythology, Sigmund was a son of Volsung's and a husband of Borghild. He retrieved the sword Gram from the log in which Odin had stuck it. Nobody but Sigmund was able to pull it out of the log. When he died, Sigmund bequeathed the sword to Sigurd, his son, who was then raised by Regin.
