SIMSCRIPT II.5

SIMSCRIPT II.5 is one of the oldest computer simulation languages. Like Fortran with which it is intimately connected, programs using the language are still being used, maintained, and developed. It is used particularly for large-scale military or air-traffic control simulations though it is not limited to this type of model.

SIMSCRIPT II.5 is a powerful, free-form, English-like, general-purpose simulation programming language. It supports the application of software engineering principles, such as structured programming and modularity, which impart orderliness and manageability to simulation models.
From Russell (1983)

SIMSCRIPT II.5 is available for various types of computers including PCs running Windows and NT and also for Unix workstations. The language was developed and is maintained by CACI. SIMSCRIPT[?] and SIMSCRIPT I.5[?] are earlier and obsolete versions.
