Shiritori

Shiritori is a Japanese word game in which the players are required to say a word which begins with the final kana of the previous word. No distinction is made between hiragana and katakana.

Example: sakura -> rajio -> onigiri -> risu -> sumou -> udon

The word "udon" loses the game, as it ends with a syllabic "n". (Japanese words may not begin with a syllabic "n".)

Usually, only nouns are permitted.

In some variants, dakuten and handakuten (see Hiragana) are ignored. Thus "furo" can follow "suupu".
