She Done Him Wrong

She Done Him Wrong is a movie that was released in 1933 about a bawdy nightclub singer named Lady Lou that was set in the 1890s. This film starred Cary Grant playing a detective disguised as a missionary opposite Mae West who played the sexy Lady Lou.

The film is famous for West's many quips, in particular "Why don't you come up some time and see me?"

The film was written by Harvey F. Thew[?] and John Bright, in an adaptation from Mae West's play. It was directed by Lowell Sherman[?]. The movie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture and has been selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.
