Sharon Osbourne

Osbourne, a native of England, has also gained wild celebrity herself after the beginning of MTV's reality show, The Osbournes. She was the person who negociated with MTV so that MTV would tape a show around her family's daily life, therefore, she is often credited with her husband's resurgence in pop culture. The show began airing in 2001 and is still on the American television airwaves. MTV's British affiliate has announced plans to air the show soon.

Also in 2001, Osbourne was diagnosed with colon cancer. Recently, she announced her cancer has spread to her lymph nodes.
