Shaniko is a city located in Wasco County, Oregon. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 26.

Geography Shaniko is located at 45°0'11" North, 120°45'11" West (45.002955, -120.753149)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 26 people, 14 households, and 9 families residing in the city. The population density is 21.8/km² (55.9/mi²). There are 35 housing units at an average density of 29.4/km² (75.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 92.31% White, 7.69% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
