Seven Days Campaign

The Seven Days Campaign, or Seven Days Battle, of the American Civil War was a successful effort by the Confederate commander Robert E. Lee to turn back the Union general George McClellan's Army of the Potomac in its attempt to capture Richmond, Virginia in June 1862.
