Sequence analysis

In chemistry, sequence analysis refers to the techniques used to determine the sequence of a polymer formed of several monomers.

DNA sequence analysis[?], for example, is the determination of the sequence of nucleotides forming a certain DNA molecule. Protein sequence analysis is determinig the sequence of amino acids forming a protein. These two techniques are commonly used in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and clinically in medicine.

Designing new sequence analysis techniques resulted in several Nobel prizes.
