Seal (mammal)

A seal is any of several different species of marine mammal of the suborder Pinnipedia (order Carnivora). The "seals", commonly so-called, are in the families Phocidae (the earless seals, also called crawling or true seals) and Otariidae (fur seals and sea lions, also called walking seals).
